Mummy & Me – Newborn Photographer

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

One thing about photographing newborns is, you never know how they will be on the day, you just have to go with it and try different poses to get those gorgeous images.

With little Levi, he was most happy when snuggled up in a blanket or cuddled up close to mum – as you can see by his smile.

Little Juddy – Newborn Photographer

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

We hadn’t seen our little nephew Judd since he was born, so my partner & I made a trip over to Hamilton to see him, and we just had to get some cute photos of him before we left.
Isn’t he the cutest :-)

We are family – Tauranga Portrait Photographer

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

I had so much fun photographing these 3 little siblings. They are all so different in personality, there was the shy one, the little leader & the cheeky one and they were really into having their portraits taken, which was great. Each image captured their individual personalities and the neat bond they share with each other.

As we walked around the garden finding different places to take photos, they picked little flowers for me too – so sweet.

Sleeping Beauty – Newborn Photographer

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Firstly I would like to welcome you to my new blog, I am so excited I am now able to keep you update with recent work & the latest happenings at the studio. I am really excited about 2010, with some very exciting news coming shortly, new products & new services to offer you.

But for now I am going to add in a few posts of what I have been up to lately.

First up is little Layla, isn’t she gorgeous with her full head of hair. She was such a delight to photograph, all she needed was a nice little feed from Mum and she was asleep for half the session. When awake she was so content, it just reminded me how special my job really is.

How will you remember your family?

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

We have just got back from spending a few days up at the family farm, and while I was there I came across some of my Dad’s slides he had taken in his younger days :-)  Excited about my find, I set up Dads old Plus-jector that night while my nana was over for dinner, so she too could enjoy remembering those times. It was so cool to hear all the little stories that came with each slide, too see my grandparents, my parents, my aunties & uncles & my sisters all included in this tray of memories.

What really stood out when listening to each story, were the people included in each slide,  and what they were doing at that time, who they looked like & where they are now. It was interesting to see some of who were in our lives then are no longer with us, but it is great to have these images to remember them and share stories of them with my daughter so she too can carry on these memories.

After this little trip down memory lane, it has made me want to take more pictures than ever before, to create more memories for myself & my family and for other families, so they too can share their stories with future generations.

Do you have a special family photo? If so, I would love to see it.  Simply become a fan on facebook (click the link on the right) and add your photo to the ‘Special Family Photo’ album and one lucky person will win a Family Portrait session, a 16″ x 24″ Canvas Art Piece, plus a $150 Gift Voucher to give to a friend. Expires 31st January 2010.
